**James
James is a shrimp in the Shrimpy-world. This cause problems all down the line.

**David
David is strong, tough, and also has the power to see Spirit Animals. He usually doesn't tell anybody of this. The fact that he couldn't sense BB's Spirit Animal to begin with really worried him, though.

**The Dr Clarks
Having 2 Dr Clarks explains the matter of almost everybody thinking that Dr Clark was a man neatly.
OC : Dr Peter Clark, Mad Scientist Prime Grade. Ex-hubby of Para-Medic. Heads the Seraphim Project. Also is the creator of George/Solidus in this world.

**The Telemere Problem
IMO, it doesn't make much sense to create BB clones with shortened lifespans on purpose, not in James and David's cases. It's very cost-inefficient to spend all that money bringing them up and then have them die just when they're getting really useful as commanders.
In the Shrimpy-world, the Scientists in charge simply couldn't fix the telemere problem, and tried to pass it off as part of the design. (The People In Charge didn't buy it, but they didn't have any choice - It was short-lived (semi)clones or nothing, at that point.)
(George was a different matter, as he was created after BB woke up, for different purposes)

**The Downsizing
James being shrimpy led to the gradual downsizing of the LET Project, with the funding and personnel going elsewhere.
Eventually, Dr Clark (female) was left with a skeleton crew, and in charge of both James and David.

**Dr Clark (Para-Medic) and David and James
Due to the James is a shrimp problem and the funding cuts, Dr Clark took a much more hands-on approuch to taking care of David then she would have otherwise.
Since she was always close by, they eventually developed a much closer relationship then they would have otherwise. Dr Clark also became pretty close to James after Zero dumped him on her.
Caring about David and James tended to curtail the 'Mad' part of her 'Mad Scientist' tendencies, though they never went away completely.
(Headcanon : Canon-verse(s) David probably knew her as that Doctor who loved movies, and came to talk to whatever foster-parents that were taking care of him at the moment. He probably did know that she was in charge of him in some fashion, but.)

**The Seraphim Project
Headed by Dr Peter Clark. Produced the Seraphim Triplets (Michael, Raphael, Gabriel). Raphael ended up in a wheelchair. They aren't really clones, since they're all using about only 30-45% of BB's genetic material. The Triplets are 7 years and 4 months younger then James and David.
The whole point of the Seraphim Project was to produce kids that would mash BBs protective and parental buttons like nothing else, according to Dr Peter Clark.
It was a rousing success, in that sense.

**The various and sundry other Projects
Monkey see, monkey do. Every faction was falling other each other trying to outdo Seraphim, for a while.

**BB, Zero, and the Patriots
BB and Zero and co had a massive falling out after the production of James and David, but in the Shrimpy-world, they eventually made up and stopped being enemies, though the relationship was still not all peaches and roses.
This may or may not have something to do with Zero drunkenly whining his head off about BB's superior warrior genes producing a shrimp over and over and over, one fine day on the aftermath of a battlefield. BB eventually realized that the stupid paranoid idiot(s) actually needed him, not just an icon.
He still dislikes the LET clonelings a lot in general, though.
Both BB and the Patriots don't have as much power in Shrimpy's world as canon, mostly because they weren't as rabidly trying to gather more and more power. Plus the reduction in prestige. (Supersoldier genes=Shrimp???)
And the sharks are always circling, because that is what sharks do.

**BB
BB is actually a bit more stable in Shrimpy's world, mostly because he's still sort of allied with his old friends the Patriot folk, even if they're all quite crazy in their own ways.
He begins to change a bit after bonding with the Seraphim kids, but still treats James and David quite harshly, and avoids George like the plague.
BB's inner image of a 'family' in this point will included Ocelot, EVA, Frank, and the Triplets. Other people definitely not included.
He's still pretty mangled inside, though (that's why David can't sense his Spirit Animal, to begin with)
Things will change in the future, though only a limited number of people would notice. To begin with.
